FbVideoDownloader is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, and we never ask for your Facebook login.

What we process when you download a video
- The link you paste. Our server uses it to open the public Facebook page and find the video files. The result is kept in memory for up to 20 minutes so repeated requests for the same video are fast, and is not linked to you.
- Your IP address. Used for one minute to limit how many lookups one visitor can make, which keeps the service available for everyone. It is not stored in a database.
- The video files. Downloads stream from Facebook’s servers through ours to your device. We don’t keep copies of any video, audio, thumbnail or caption file.
Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, requested URL, browser type) for security and troubleshooting, for a limited period.
If you join the app waitlist
On the Get App page you can leave your name and email address to hear when the FbVideoDownloader app launches. We also note the site language you signed up on, your browser language and the time. This list is stored on our server, sent to our support inbox and may be kept in a private Google Sheet so we can email you. We use it only to tell you about the app, never sell it, and delete your entry on request — write to support@facebookstoryviewer.com or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
What we never do
- ask for or store your Facebook email, phone number or password;
- log in to Facebook on your behalf or interact with the videos you download;
- sell, rent or share personal data with data brokers.
Cookies and analytics
FbVideoDownloader itself sets no cookies. We use these third-party services, which may set their own:
- Microsoft Clarity records anonymized page interactions (clicks, scrolling) so we can find usability problems. Opt out or learn more: privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
You can also block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the downloader keeps working.
Your rights
Because we don’t keep accounts or profiles, there is usually nothing about you for us to show, correct or delete. If you have a question or a request under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or another privacy law, email support@facebookstoryviewer.com.
Children
FbVideoDownloader is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
